As a Backend Django Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing, optimizing, and maintaining the core functionalities of the Flawatch platform. You’ll work closely with our DevOps, SecOps, and frontend teams to build scalable and efficient backend services, ensuring seamless integration with our APIs and external systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the Django backend for Flawatch’s web applications.

• Create and optimize RESTful APIs to integrate with frontend services and third-party applications.

• Ensure security, performance, and scalability of the backend architecture.

• Work closely with the product and security teams to define and implement new features and improvements.

• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, following best practices in Django and Python development.

• Implement database designs and optimize queries for performance, using PostgreSQL or similar.

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve backend services, focusing on uptime and reliability.

• Collaborate in code reviews, testing, and continuous integration processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working with Django and Python in backend development.

• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.

• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases, including query optimization and database design.

• Experience working with version control systems (Git).

• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms and container technologies like Docker.

• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and experience with deployment automation.

• Strong understanding of web security practices and scalable backend design.

• Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

• Experience working in an Agile environment and with cross-functional teams.
